The Toyota RHOMBUS is an electric concept vehicle which was unveiled in Shanghai Auto show 2019. It was developed by the companies’ research and development team based in China (TMEC).

It is a concept vehicle which only has one seat in the front compared to the traditional two-seater vehicles. It has added the swirl seat to create a face-to-face interaction with the back-seat passengers. The lounge-like design hints toward Toyota’s goal towards full automation. You can now have a business meeting, talk with your kids before dropping them to school or board games with friends during road trips.

Toyota is planning to add 10 electric vehicles globally in the next 5-6 years which is good news for the environment. The mega car manufacturer is set towards the goal of 5.5 million electric vehicles sales by 2030.
